Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit
  • Purl
  • Slip, Slip, Knit (SSK)
  • Knit 2 together (K2tog)
  • Yarn Over (YO)
  • Provisional Cast On
  • Kitchener Stitch (grafting stitch)

Pattern Description:

This is a simple to work - but complicated appearing - infinity scarf. It is worked with a discontinued DK weight yarn - your DK yarn will also produce this scarf reminiscent of the shifting stairs in the Harry Potter movies! It includes a lace effect and cables - great for the intermediate knitter. Directions are charted and written.


20 sts, 24 rows - per 4X4" or 10X10 cm - in pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 10.5" X 54" (27 X 137 cm)


  • US # 8 (5.0mm) knitting needle
