When a dear friend bats her eyes and says, "I wish I had a pair of hand knit socks", for some of us it can be hard to say no. I knit these for the first time for a good friend who is also a knitter but "doesn't do socks". I wanted to make her something that was simple, handsome, and very comfortable. With a turned cuff that snuggles up to your ankle, but stays oh so stretchy, and ribbed detailing, these socks easily fit a wide range of sizes, and are attractive on both women and men alike. Make them for yourself, a loved one, or a good friend. Everyone deserves a beautiful pair of handknit socks.

I come from a family of knitters, weavers, and fiber artists, so it was only a matter of time for me to fall head first in to knitting. I learned how to knit at age 5, but really picked it up again durring collage. I have a BFA in painting, but spend most of my time knitting, being a mom, and working at what I think is the best yarn store out there, www.twistedpdx.com.
