Pattern Description:

Hachisu, Japanese, lotus.

A texturally exciting tam and mitt set featuring cables, twisted stitches, bobbles and yarn overs, ending in a beautiful cabled lotus-like flower at the crown.


2" / 5 cm = 12 sts x 17.5 rows in St. st. It is best to knit a gauge swatch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To accommodate 20-22" head circumference, adjustable smaller and larger.
  • To accommodate 7 - 8.5" hand circumference. Easily adjustable.


  • US 5 - 3.75 mm
  • 189 - 293 yards (173 - 268 m) Fingering, Sport or DK yarn
