Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit purl, work twisted stitches and two stitch cables, basic sock construction

Pattern Description:

Grand Central Station Socks feature a classic cuff down construction with a cabled rib heel flap and a traditional gusset. The cables are simple enough to work without a cable needle, but pack a big wow factor into the finished sock.

Originally released in June 2014 in the Three Irish Girls Sock it to Me club, this pattern is now available for purchase.

8 stitches/12 rows per inch in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit a foot circumference of 8(9)"


  • 370 yds Three Irish Girls Glenhaven sock, 1 32" size US1 circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)

  • cable needle (optional), yarn needle, stitch markers

Suggested yarn:

370 yards of Fingering weight
