Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Bind-off and cast-on
  • cabling
  • working in the round (small circumference)
  • knit & purl

Pattern Description:

This addition to the Gramps Collection is a pair of legwarmers that comes in two sizes. One suitable for babies/toddlers and the other for older children. It features a cable around the ankle and ribbing that goes all the way up. The cabled ankle helps to keep it from slipping under foot, where the ribbing is super stretchy to accomodate all sorts of leg sizes. Cables are both written and charted. Shown in Baby.


19 sts and 31 rows per 4 inches in stockinette, 30 sts per 4 inches in Criss Cross Cable Pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Top Circumference: 7.5(10) inches
  • Ankle Circumference : 4.75(6.5) inches
  • Finished Length: 10(17) inches
  • Size: Baby(Child)


  • 95(220) yards light worsted weight yarn

  • Tools: Size 5(3.75 mm) and Size 6(4 mm) sets of 5 DPNs
