This hat was designed to be a quick project perfect for gifts or charity knitting. The simple textured stitch pattern makes it as comforting to work as it is for the recipient to wear. The original hats were donated to the Afghans for Afghans project (http://www.afghansforafghans.org) and it warms me from the inside out to think of them around the world, providing a little comfort to those who can really use it.
