Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knitting in the round
  • Lace knitting

Pattern Description:

Gilded is a sophisticated, cozy warm cowl with an elegant all over lace pattern. Beautiful for adorning anyone young or old; male or female. Knit one for yourself, best friend, or any loved one.


18 stitches = 4"/10 cm in stockinette stitch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Single loop [double loop]. 19"/48 cm [52"/132 cm] circumference and approximately 8.5"/21.5 cm tall.


  • US #7/ 5 mm (or size to get gauge) for knitting in the round (either two circulars, or one long circular for magic loop, or one circular needle of the proper circumference for the cowl you are knitting).

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch marker

Suggested yarn:

350 yards of Worsted weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Shown in Malabrigo Worsted (100% merino; 210 yards/192 meters per 3.5 ounce/100 gram skein) and Imperial Stock Ranch Erin (100% Columbia Wool; 275 yards/251 meters per 4 ounce/113 gram skein)
