Pattern Description:

Colors of gold and precious gemstones such as
sapphires, rubies and emeralds adorn this little cap
within a framework of traditional all-over stranded
pattern. A simple rolled stockinette brim and matching
top knot finish the hat. You may choose to knit in the
colors suggested or choose your own. Charts are given
both in color and simply with the patterning in black &
white. Although this looks complicated, the pattern is
quickly memorized.

Gauge:

27 sts & 35 rows = 4" (10cm) over stranded colorwork

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

Adult Medium 21" (53cm) finished circumference Adult Large 23" (58cm) finished circumference

Materials:

11 skeins Jamieson & Smith 100% Pure Wool from the Shetland Isle, 2-ply jumper-weight yarn (25gr, 125yds/115metres per skein). One each of 11 colors (you will have quite a bit of wool leftover for other projects)
16" circular needle US Size 3 (3.25mm) or size needed to obtain gauge 1 set US Size 3 (3.25mm) double point needles 16" circular needle US Size 2 (3.00mm)
