Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit
  • Purl
  • k2tog= knit two stitches together
  • yo= yarn over
  • ssk= slip, slip, knit
  • Knit bobbles

Pattern Description:

This interesting shawl has a narrow deep-v shape and opposing segments on either side of the shawl's spine.

It also has a row of bobbles which represent the bolts on either side of Frankenstein's neck.

Gauge:

24 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished shawl measures approximately 14" in height at the center spine and 17" from the shawl's top edge to its two "wings."

Materials:

  • 300 yards (collectively of both colors used) of Fingering weight yarn
  • Size 4 knitting needles
  • 1 locking stitch marker
