Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit in the round, purl, increase decrease, pick up stitches

Pattern Description:

This shawl starts with a striped medallion knit in the round followed by three triangles that form the sides and bottom. This piece is great way to showcase hand-painted yarn.

Gauge:

22 sts and 32 rows = 4'' / 10 cm in St st with larger needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Size 1: 16" / 40.5 cm deep and 64" / 162.5 cm wingspan Size 2: 21 1/2" / 54.5 cm deep and 80" / 203 cm wingspan

Materials:

  • Size 1: US size 5 / 3.75 mm 32" / 80 cm or longer circular needle and set of double-pointed needles same size US size 3 / 3.25 mm 32" / 80 cm or longer circular needle. Size 2: US size 6 / 4 mm 32" / 80 cm or longer circular needle and set of double-pointed needles same size US size 4 / 3.5 mm 32" / 80 cm or longer circular needle
