Mihly Cskszentmihlyi, pronounced (Chick SENT me high), is a famous psychologist who expounded on the concept of "flow." Flow" is achieved when one is blissfully immersed in a task to the extent that she loses all sense of time. It is an emotionally fulfilling state of being. I get flow when I knit this slip-stitch pattern. I am so blissfully happy in the doing, that I lose track of time and place. Just relaxed and in the now. See? Knitting is good for your health! these socks are fun to knit, comfortable to wear and, because they feature Cat Bordhi's Sweet Tomato Heel, the instep pattern "flows" seamlessly from leg to foot...and the heel allows for a perfect instep fit. Thank you for the test-knit, Denise!

I am Deborah. I am fortunate to be able to spend my days doing the things I love most in life: knitting, sewing, designing, cooking, baking, reading and writing. I am trying to learn, with an open mind, as much as I can from this life without having to repeat my mistakes or the mistakes of my parents.
Some people see a gorgeous sunset and photograph it. Others paint it. I knit it. Fiber and fabric are my media. Knitting the sunset makes it mine.
