I adapted this scarf from a pattern (Pero Zhar-Ptitsy, "Feather of Firebird") that I found in a Russian knitting book published in 1956. It is my tribute to the centuries-old Russian fairy tale about the magnificent Firebird. The Scarf required about 70 g (2 1/2 oz) of yarn total!
