The color of this yarn inspired the name of this shawl. Fire Garnets are a rich deep red with lots of life, just like the color of stitch red. Fire Garnet is a simple crescent shawl that can be kit in one evening and with 1 skein of Malabrigo Rasta, or another super bulky yarn. This is knit from the bottom up, with short row shaping. A great starter project for someone new to shawls or lace. This is a fun and fast knit, and is perfect for fall and winter. The lace is written and charted.

My name is Taiga Hilliard and I am a yarn addict. I love designs that have a classic feel to them, but with a twist and am most happy when I get to work with cashmere, or other luxury yarns. When I do not have needles in my hands, I enjoy photography and reading.
I love top-down pieces, with very little finishing, and in the round patterns, which carries over into most of my designs.
