Pattern Description:
A sassy hat to indulge your love of cables and lace! The pattern is written for both beret and slouchie styles and includes both written and charted instructions. I have also included some helpful tips of blocking your hat to perfection.
Blocking for the beret version is quite important for the proper shaping. Unblocked, the beret version is very much like a floppy watchcap but when blocked it transforms
Gauge:
23 sts x 24 rows = 4" in cable and lace pattern
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Beret version is 9.5" in height blocked
- Slouchie version is 11" in height blocked
- 20" in circumference
Materials:
- 150 m (165 yards) - 165 m (181 yards) of your favorite worsted weight yarn
- 5mm (US size 8) 16" circular needle
- 5mm (US size 8) double pointed needles
You Will Also Need:
- A stitch marker for marking the beginning of the round
- A cable needle
- A tapestry needle for sewing in ends
