I - like most of you on here I guess - am obsessed with knitting and crocheting, and have been since I was about 5 years old. My dear mum taught me well and I have never lost the bug. I have designed and sold items at craft fairs for a few years, and am now adding some designs online. Enjoy !!!
NOTE - I also work as a pattern checker/proofreader for some major craft book publishing companies. I am happy to check any of your written knitting or crochet pattern for mistakes, and advise on style, before you publish. Please contact me for details.
This is a beautiful, lightweight moebius cowl that can be worn in many ways; as a shoulder wrap; as a neck warmer; as a loose cowl, or by the use of a single button, as a cozy cowl which keeps the draughts away.
A moebius is a twisted loop with one edge and one surface, which is knit from the middle outwards.
The pattern uses garter stitch and dropped stitches. It is designed to use the Cat Bordhi method of casting on for a moebius cowl. There is a great video on YouTube describing this.
The photograph shows it knitted in Zauberball variegated sock yarn.
The pattern includes full instructions. Gauge is not critical to this project.
Not needed :)
