Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, increase/decrease

Pattern Description:

An airy, semi-sheer scarf with an allover lace motif of tiny ferns unfolding. With lace work on right-side rows only, this makes a great beginning lace knitting project, or a quick gift knit.


26 sts and 40 rows = 4" in stockinette (unblocked)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 9.5"W x 39"L (blocked and stretched)


  • approximately 350 yards of any fine yarn which has approximately 400 yards per 2 ounces
  • Needles:size 3US (3.25 mm)or size to obtain correct gauge

Suggested yarn:

350 yards of Lace weight
