These felted bangles are knit on double pointed needles to form a small tube and then felted using a standard washing machine. The finished effect is achieved by forming the final bangle and letting it air dry for several days on a mold.
The instructions are written using double strands of worsted weight wool, however if you want to play around and blend your own colors, you can substitute 2 strands of fingering weight yarn for one strand of worsted.
It is very important that only 100% wool is used as any man-made yarns will not felt. I typically use Patton's Brand Classic Wool, Lion Brand Wool or any merino (not superwash) wool as merino has a stiffer result. However, you can use alpaca for softer results
but it won't hold the shape as well as merino.

I've been knitting all my life and currently spend most of my waking hours thinking about new ways to knit classic accessories. I love to spin my own yarn, learn new knitting techniques and get creative with felted wool.
