Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit with two colors (stranded knitting)
  • circular knitting with shaping


28 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished circumferences, when knit to gauge, are 151/2" (18", 201/2"), sized to fit infants (youths, adults)


  • Two contrasting 50g balls of light sport / heavy fingering weight yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Circular and double pointed needles in US 3 or US 4 (3.25mm or 3.5mm) for main portion of hat; circular or double pointed needles in US 2 or US 3 (3.0 or 3.25) for hem.
