Pattern Description:

Evan is a garter stitch scarf suitable for beginning to advanced beginning knitters. Since Evan is knit sideways, with the MY doubled, it's a good project for the beginning knitter who wants to shake things up a little, but not so much that he/she will feel overwhelmed. Some techniques learned in this project:

~sideways knitting
~changing colors
~knitting with two strands of yarn (except for the stripes, which are knit with one strand)

Alpaca yarns give this scarf it's wonderful softness and incredible warmth. It is a smoother fiber than wool, giving it a luster and drape that many wools lack.
