Pattern Description:

These mod two-color mittens feature a zebra design on the back and a floral lattice on the palm. The outer mitten is worked in a fingering weight yarn while a slightly thinner merino/cashmere/nylon yarn is used for the lining to add a contrasting pop of color and warmth. The pattern comes in 2 adult sizes. These mittens will keep your hands in toasty luxury.


Size M: 34 stitches / 36 rows = 4in / 10cm in stranded colorwork on #2 (2.75mm) needles
with MC/CC 32 stitches / 46 rows = 4in / 10cm in St st on #2 (2.75mm) needle with Lining yarn

Size L: 32 stitches / 34 rows = 4in / 10cm in stranded colorwork on #3 (3.25mm) needles
with MC/CC 29 stitches / 40 rows = 4in / 10cm in St st on #3 (3.25mm) needle with Lining yarn

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Adult M(L)
  • Upper Hand Circumference: 7.5(8) in / 19(20.5) cm
  • Mitten is 8.75(9.25) in / 22(23.5) cm tall


  • #2 (2.75mm) 32-inch circular needle for size M
  • #3 (3.25mm) 32-inch circular needle for size L

  • E (3.5mm) crochet hook
  • MC: fingering weight yarn (~130(140)yds / 119(128)m)
