Pattern Description:

These mitts are inspired by the iron fences found in English gardens. Featured is a unique cable design that has the look of a chain link fence. These are perfect for keeping your hands warm while you garden, work on the computer or working of crafts. The mitts are short enough to allow your fingers freedom to move without restriction. The ribbing through the hand allows these to fit just about any sized female hand.


28 sts and 36 rnds = 4" (10 cm) in St st (K every round).

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • approx 5" (12.7 cm) around, un-stretched and 6.5" (16.5 cm) tall


  • Four or five double pointed needles - size US 5 (3.75mm)

  • row counter
  • cable needle
  • tapestry needle
  • 2 stitch markers
  • split ring marker

Suggested yarn:

110 yards of DK weight
