Where did you create the join to work in the round? With the provisional cast on row or an all knit foundation row? And did you do an all knit round before starting the pattern? Thanks.

Bekah, did you ever figure out the join? I am trying to start this bag, but I cannot figure out how it is intended to be joined either, whether it is done in the round or seamed up the side. I would be interested. Thanks!

This pattern is done in round, I wish it had been indicated right out at the beginning...cause I started with knitting flat, and realized later that it had to be in round.

I am a not experienced with circular needle knitting but am wondering why the pattern says to use 7 34" when the finished product is only 21" around. Shouldn't the needle size be smaller than the finished product and not larger?

You use a bigger circular needle and do the magic loop knitting method. Look it up on You tube. There are lots of great demos of magic loop knitting there. :)

Click on big orange download button in the right hand panel. Then open PDF in iBooks or where ever on your iPad.

am wondering about a different yarn--something that is strong but wouldn't stretch too much. Any ideas? Oh, and not too expensive.

I might consider the nylon yarns in the big-box places like Michaels or Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's.

You need to download the pattern (it is a PDF file) and then you can see it. I was able to download it yesterday so it should work.

I don't see anything that says 'download'. Which page? This is a problem I'm having with most of the free patterns I want to download.

I went to the Cascade page and found the download button there.
