The inspiration for these fingerless mitts came when I saw the beautiful natural colors of the yak/merino Bijou Spun "Himalayan Trail". A Fair Isle cable pattern immediately came to mind so I designed the Dual Cable Fingerless Gloves.
I love the Yin and Yang of the cream and brown yarn cabled around each other. It made knitting this piece both complex and exciting. Go ahead and treat yourself with this great yarn and a pattern that will push your knitting limits and help you become a capital K knitter!
This project is a great compliment to the Mittens and Gloves Galore class here on Craftsy.com
Make yourself a set with the Dual Cable Hat and Scarf as well.
Gauge: 8 rows & 10 sts = 1 with size 4(tm)s in dual cable repeat. 10 rows & 6 sts= 1 with size 3(tm)s in stockinette stitch after blocked.
