Basic Skills Necessary:

  • double knit or at least how to knit and purl
  • do the two-color cast-on but there is also a picture tutorial included in the pattern

Pattern Description:

Cute little dolphins are jumping along this beautiful blueish waves double knitting scarf.
The beautiful yarn Opal solid 5188 (medium blue) and Opal Cotton Premium color 5611 turns this scarf into something special.
You need about 150 g of each color for the scarf.

However, you can also use any other yarn of similar weight from your stash. :)

Gauge:

Gauge: 1 x 1 inch = 6 stitches and 8 rows in double knitting.

But gauge is not important.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Scarf size: 191 cm x 21 cm

Materials:

  • About 150g 4-ply sock yarn in medium blue Opal solid 5188 (medium blue) and 150 g in Opal Cotton Premium color 5611 (multicolor blue, gray and multicolor). Yardage = 425 m/100 g
  • 2.5 mm needles (either a pair of normal cardigan needles or the way I like it knit it flat on a circular needle about at least 40 cm length, anything longer will also do)
  • you can use any other yarn, too (Acrylic, Merino, or other sock yarn)

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight
