This is a wonderful way to see how shaping can create design lines. Watch the decreases create a gentle swirl that forms the dome of this flattering and wearable hat. Knit in texture-rich seed stitch at an easy gauge in soft Mountain Merino, this is a quick and satisfying project. Embellish the I-cord top knot with buttons, beads, or multiple knots, for a look that is uniquely yours.


2.875 sts/in and 4.5 rows/in = 11.5 sts/4" and 18 rows/4" in Seed st on size 10.5(6.5mm) ndls
3.25 sts/in and 6 rows/in = 13 sts/4" and 24 rows/4" in Rib on size 9(5.5mm) ndls
