Pattern Description:

Pattern includes 4 sizes ranging from Baby to Adult Large, charted and written instructions for the Laurel Leaf Brim, and has the options to increase "slouch" if desired.


18 Rows (1 repeat of the Laurel Leaf brim) to 2.5 inches on #6 needles. Please note that this row gauge is important to getting an accurate fit to the hat therefore it is strongly recommended you check this gauge carefully.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Extra Small (16")., Small (18 "), Medium (21"), and Large (23")


  • 150 - 200 yards heavy worsted or aran weight yarn
  • Size US 8 / 5.0 mm circular needles with a 16" cable
  • Size US 8 / 5.0 mm double pointed needles
  • Size US 6 / 4.0 mm needles
  • 8 stitch markers (1 different to mark beginning of round),
  • scrap yarn and crocchet hook for provisional cast on (fully explained in pattern)
  • tapestry needle for weaving in ends
