Instead of a slouchy beanie this is a slouchy beret so you get a beautiful line of shaping at the back of the head. The brim adds interest too instead of another bit of ribbing!
This hat is worked in the round. I suggest starting with DPNs and moving onto circulars purely out of personal preference - but any circular technique is fine.
24 stitch and 32 rows = 10cm over stocking stitch on 3.5mm needles
