Cycles is a rectangular scarf or wrap. The stitch pattern is a clever reversible cable. It's worked over only a few rows at the beginning, then the stitch pattern goes longer and longer again, and it goes back to the tight cables. It's simple and pretty !
The scarf or warp can be made with a great variety of fibers and gauges. The pictured scarf was made with a fingering silk blend and the result is very elegant, and a thick wool blend will result in an interesting winter scarf. The pattern includes two sizes but can be easily modified to get the desired width by adding or removing stitches at cast on.
Approx. 1000 yds of fingering weight are required for the shawl and 1500 yds for the wrap.
