Crocus Bag

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit
  • Purl

Pattern Description:

A light and lacy bag for summer, knitted in the round
with only the strap to sew on. The bag is knitted on
smaller needles to create a firmer fabric.
If you wish to top to draw in a little more, use a K1, P1
rib for the band.
Some woven fabric is needed to line the bag.


23 stitches = 4 inches in Crocus Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 26cm x 25cm x 7cm (10in x 9 3/4in x 2 3/4in)


  • 3.75mm 16 in circular needle
  • 394 yard (360 m) Heirloom Cotton 8ply yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Woven fabric to line bag

Suggested yarn:

394 yards of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Heirloom Cotton 8ply
