Pattern Description:

The hat can be worn either as a slouch beanie, or turn up the brim to wear as a conventional beanie (see 2nd image). Knitted straight on single point 5mm needles, there will be a seam to sew up.

Gauge:

18sts and 24 rows to 10cm (4") square over stocking stitch using 5mm needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Child (3-10 years): To fit 51cm (20") head circumference Pre-teen/teen : To fit 53.5cm (21") head circumference Adult Woman: To fit 57cm (22.5") head circumference Adult Man: To fit 57-61cm (22.5 - 24") head circumference

Materials:

  • 1 (2, 3, 3) x 50g balls Aran weight yarn

  • 5mm (US8) single point knitting needles
