(6) Name: 'Knitting : Crawley

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • purl
  • decrease
  • increase

Pattern Description:

Crawley is a two-color cowl knit in the round. It is a great way to experiment with color. Mix it up with bright pairings of contrasting colors, go sedate with two different shades of the same color or even knit it all in one color. You can get many different looks just by playing with the colors.

With both charts and written instructions, knitters are able to choose the most comfortable way to follow the pattern.


23 sts/36 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on US size 6 needles

Exact gauge is not important but do note that a looser gauge will result in the use of more yardage


  • MC: Approx. 225 yards of worsted weight yarn
  • CC: Approx. 125 yards of worsted weight yarn
  • 1 US size 6 (3.5 mm), 24-inch circular

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
  • Stitch marker for marking beginning of round
