Pattern Description:

Calling all partial skeins of bulky yarn! De-stash a little with this two-pack pattern. Colorblock Mittens includes two patterns: regular mittens using three blocks of color and fingerless mitts using two blocks of color.


12 stitches and 17 rows = 4" 10 cm in stockinette stitch pattern on US 10.5 needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Child's medium (child's large, women's small, women's medium, women's large/men's small) 6 (6 ?, 7, 7 ?, 8 ?)" 15 (16, 17.5, 19, 21.5) cm approx circumference for both mittens and fingerless mittens


  • Puffin by Quince & Co. (100% American wool; 112 yds 102 m/ 100 g) Mittens: 1 skein each in Chanterelle (MC), Winesap (CC1) and Sorbet (CC2) Or a total of 55 (65, 85, 95, 105) yards
  • Fingerless Mitts: 1 skein each in Storm (MC) and Peacoat (CC) Or a total of 50 (60, 80, 90, 100) yards
  • Four double-pointed needles in US 10.5 6.5 mm or size needed to obtain correct gauge

  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Waste yarn or stitch holder
  • Stitch markers (3)
