Kara Mayfield lives in Citrus Heights, CA, with her supportive husband and two beautiful children. Production has been slower and more difficult for this wife and mother of two. Just 5 days after the birth of her second child in 2009, she was abruptly afflicted with acute labyrinthitis and vestibular neuritis caused by an inflammation of the inner ear damaging nerves leading to the brain. The permanent aftermath of this rare yet vicious attack has left her with partial deafness, tinnitus, hyperacusis, a balance disorder, vertigo attacks, in addition to severe chronic migraines with "auras", making each days simplest tasks very challenging, often impossible. As she struggles to care for her beloved family and keep life functioning as close to normal as possible, she does manage to find a few stolen moments to escape the madness of her limitations into her world of, Knit 'n Kaboodle.

What a fun way to learn how to knit a new knit stitch and use up those bits of yarn in your left over stash! I designed this quick knit "Cup Cuddler" pattern to fit most size travel mugs, disposable cups, and even for toddlers sippy cups or baby bottles. There is no seam to sew up because I designed the pattern to be knit in one piece. Once you bind off your Cup Cuddler is ready to use. I recommend you use cotton yarn for a cold beverage sleeve and a wool/wool blend yarn for a hot beverage sleeve.
Skill level is some experience.
Stitches: Knit, Purl, cast-on, bind-off, yarn over, Ssk, Tbl
Worked in the round on double point knitting needles.
