Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to knit in the round on double pointed needle and circular needles.

Pattern Description:

This is a wonderful hood that stays on with no uncomfortable tie at the chin. The flared collar stays tucked in or can be worn over clothing. The knitted bow and flower (both included) can be placed anywhere your heart desires. Use a decorative button for center of flower.


10 sts = 2"
15 rows =- 2"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Toddler: 17" head circumference (approximate)
  • Child: 19" head circumference (approximate)


  • Size 5 double pointed needles or size to obtain gauge
  • Size 5 circular needles or size to obtain gauge, it will need to be 9" or 12" length
  • Yarn needle

Suggested yarn:

300 yards of Worsted weight
