Advanced
Inspired by the badges of Knightly orders, Chevalier is suited to the intermediate-to-advanced knitter. Cables, twists, smocked and embossed stitches give a richness of textural detail, while openwork rib, basketweave mesh, and traditional lace stitches give lightness as well as warmth. The unusual scooped-out half circle shape drapes prettily and stays comfortably on the wearer's shoulders.

I?ve been making things since I was tiny ? I remember sitting on the grass at infant school making ?fairy shoes? from leaves and bits of grass. I've been knitting and sewing since I was 7 ? which means I?ve been a knitter for more than 25 years! Since then I?ve branched out a bit, learning to cut patterns, handspin, crochet, loom-bead, make wire-wrapped jewellery, needle- and wet-felt, dye, origami and papercrafts, drawing and painting, to name but a few.
