Women, Girls

Skill Level:

medium skill level requirement Intermediate

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • some experience with stranded knitting with two colors
  • There are also some rows with three colors (but only a few)

Pattern Description:

Inspired by Luke(tm)s checked shirts from the Gilmore Girls I longed for a checked beret.
The pattern is not symmetrical on purpose.
The top turned out so beautiful much to my surprise, that I didn(tm)t have to add any button or pompon.

Note: it(tm)s no real fair isle as there are some rows with three colors in one row!

It(tm)s a bit tricky to knit these row, but it(tm)s absolutely worth it!

8 stitches and 9 rows = 1 inch in stranded knitting

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This tammy fits smaller and bigger heads (up to 56 cm head circumreference) because of the relative big amount of stitches
