Pattern Description:

Chalice is an over-sized cowl that can be made with or without buttons and worn as a traditional cowl or as a cowl/cape hybrid over the shoulders. It is an excellent transitional piece for early spring. Lace instructions are both written and charted. The pattern has been professionally tech edited to reduce the possibility for error, but if you have questions or believe that you have found an error, please contact me.


17 sts and 27 rows = 4" / 10 cm in lace pattern. 20 sts and 40 rows = 4" / 10 cm in cartridge rib pattern.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 35 1/4 (40 , 44 3/4)" / 89.5 (101.5, 113.5) cm circumference.
  • 11 1/2 (13 1/4, 15)" / 29 (33.5, 38) cm high.


  • Quince and Co. Lark Yarn, 420 - 670 yards (384 - 613 m) , depending on size
  • US 7 - 4.5 mm circular needles
