Pattern Description:

What children love are animals. Why not knit one in a cat form that has the head on one end and tail at the other end. Looks like the cat has “wrapped” itself around child’s neck. Has easy to do “legs” on each end of body too! This is fun to knit! All the children and grandchildren will want one just like it! Finished size is about 40” inches long. Head is easily knit, stuffed and sewn on later. Knitting needles, US # 8.

Gauge:

5 sts = 1 inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished length, approx. 40 inches, from bottom front feet to bottom back feet.

Materials:

  • Materials, worsted weight yarn approx., main color, 6 ounces, and US size 8 needles. Also, small amounts of worsted weight yarn in contrasting colors for feet, eyes and mouth. Small amount of pillow or toy stuffing.

Suggested yarn:

260 yards of Worsted weight
