Pattern Description:

When faced with a knitting deadline and a discerning recipient, reach for something unique, like this asymmetric-in-a-different-way shawlette.


12 stitches = 4"/10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size fits most, with notes for adjusting. Depth: 22"/56 cm. Long side of triangle: 60"/152 cm. Short side of triangle: 30"/76 cm. Middle-length side of triangle: 45"/114 cm. After blocking.


  • Yarn - Approximately 335 yards/306 meters aran or bulky-weight yarn, split between three colors as follows. Color A: 185 yards/169 meters. Color B: 85 yards/78 meters.
  • Needles - US #11/8mm (or size to get gauge) for knitting flat.

  • Tapestry needle

Suggested yarn:

335 yards of Chunky weight

Shown in Malabrigo Mecha (100% superwash merino wool; 130 yards/120 meters per 3.5 ounce/100 gram skein).
