Pattern Description:
On a hill, directly above my grandparents' old
cabin, there was a little fort. Created by fallen
tree limbs and boulders, my cousins and I would
lose hours playing there.
The lace stitches in the Cala Shawl were inspired
by that old hillside fort. The lace patterns
represent a hidden trail leading into a child's
hidden, leafy playground.
Gauge:
23 stitches and 30 rows/4 inches in stockinette stitch before blocking
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 46.5 in (118 cm) x 24.5 in (62 cm)
Materials:
- 400-475 yards fingering weight yarn
- US 5 (3.75 mm) 24 inch or larger circular needle
