I live in London, England and am constantly inspired by the culture and fashion of this amazing city. I have always loved the feel of yarn or fabric in my hands and enjoyed creating things by hand since I was a little girl. I now look forward to teaching my own two little girls to create and follow their inspiration.
My designs are often inspired by my latest must-have yarn or small details that I notice around me. For me, the design process is all about the pleasure of knitting and I like to strike a balance of interesting vs. relaxing to knit. The most important thing though, is to create something you’ll love to wear or are proud to give as a gift. I love the idea of helping people to create something beautiful.
I am always wondering about new techniques, how to do things better and am intrigued by new ideas – curious by name and curious by nature.
This shawl is pure comfort knitting. A favourite colour combination will chase away the winter blues. Relaxing garter stitch is an antidote to complicated projects.
This semicircular shawl is simple in design yet sophisticated to wear with an easy garter stitch body and an unusual pointed ruffle. Pull your two favourite skeins of sock yarn out of your stash and put them together in unexpected combinations.
The shawl blocks to an elongated semicircle, perfect for wrapping around the shoulders or for wearing around the neck as a scarf. The substantial ruffle gives this shawl a wonderful weight and rhythm.
