Pattern Description:

This stylish cabled hat looks like it came straight from the fall fashion runways. Designed with cable and twist stitches for texture in the main body and a folded ribbed brim, this hat is sure to please even the most stylish fashionista. Cables & Twists is worked in the round from the bottom up. 2 skeins of Knit Picks Swish Worsted is required, or 200 yards of a worsted weight yarn.

Gauge:

24 sts and 30 rnds = 4" [10 cm] in 2 x 2 rib worked in the rnd with smaller needle after blocking.
24 sts and 26 rnds = 4" [10 cm] in cable pattern worked in the rnd with larger needle after blocking.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size: Fits approximate head circumference of 21 - 24 inches (53 - 61 cm).

Materials:

  • Knit Picks Swish Worsted (100% superwash merino wool; 110 yd [101 m]/1.76 oz [50 g]). 2 skeins. Shown in Cobblestone Heather.
  • US size 6 [4.0 mm] 16" [40 mm] circular needle.
  • US size 8 [5.0 mm] 16" [40 mm] circular needle.
  • US size 8 [5.0 mm] double-pointed needles (dpns).
  • Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge.

You Will Also Need:

  • marker
  • cable needle
  • tapestry needle
