Pattern Description:
This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up using Fair Isle technique for colorwork. Vertical stripes are created with color, cabling, and texture.
Cap is topped with a knotted tie. Sizing implies stretching for a snug fit; size up if you prefer a looser fitting cap.
Gauge:
19 sts and 24 rows per 4 inches in stockinette, 20 sts and 24 rows per 4 inches in cable pattern
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Size: Newborn(0-6 months, 6-12 months, Toddler, Child); Finished Head Circumference: 12.5(14.5, 16.25, 18, 19.75) inches
Materials:
- 35 (40, 45, 50, 55) yards MC and 30 (35, 40, 45, 50) yards CC yards worsted weight yarn
You Will Also Need:
- Size 7(4.5 mm) 16" circular needles and set of 5 DPNs, cable needle, stitch marker
