Pattern Description:

My inspiration for designing this set was my upcoming trip to England to visit my daughter. I needed some fashionable warmies to wear on our travels in the UK!

Using super bulky yarns, these pieces are quick and easy knits. The hat is worked in the round, with crown decreases worked on dpns. The neckwarmer is worked back and forth on the circular needle.

Bernat Roving yarn was used to make the charcoal and eggshell samples. The pink samples were made with Cascade Covington yarn. You need 2 skeins of either to complete the set, or one skein each for the hat or the neckwarmer. Any super bulky yarn that works up to this gauge can be successfully substituted.

Gauge:

2 sts per inch, in rib (slightly stretched)

  • 240 yards superbulky wool. I used 2 skeins of Cascade Covington or Bernat Roving yarn.
