Cables with a Twist! This hat features cables that are staggered around the hat. The good thing: You don't have to work all the cables on one row! It is fin to knit and to watch the swirl pattern appear before your eyes.
These cables really do stair step up around the head. For example, there are 12 sections around the hat. The first time you cable, it is in sections 1 & 6, 2 rows later you cable in sections 2 & 7, 2 rows later you cable in sections 3, & 8, etc all around the hat!
6 sts per inch in cable pattern
200 yards of DK weight

I am a knitwear designer and teacher with a full time job and a family. I learned to knit, crochet, sew, cross stitch, etc. from my mother as a child. I think I jumped from craft to craft more often than I would like to admit!
Knitting has become my main focus. I love to create new designs, and to figure out new ways of doing things. I really want my designs to be easy to wear, AND well fitting and flattering. There is no need to take all the time to make something if it is not going to be worn!
Although I love to create a well fitting, good looking cardigan or pullover, I also really like to crank out accessories. There is nothing like the feeling of getting a project, or a new pattern done!
I self publish. Those are the designs that you see here on Craftsy. I also design for yarn companies and knitting publications on a regular basis.
