Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cable, kitchener stitch, YO drops, M1's, knitting in the round

Pattern Description:

I have a cable sweater in the same yarn, and wanted to design a beanie I could wear with it.

My ears get cold, and I wanted something that would cover and fit snug around the ears. This pattern is a stand alone cable headband as well.

It fits snugly on my large size head, so it should be fine for most adults and some adolescents.


4.5 stitches and 5 rows per inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • adult/adolescent


  • 12-16" #8 circular needle, #8 DPNs

You Will Also Need:

  • cable holder, yarn needle

Suggested yarn:

180 yards of Worsted weight
