This is the perfect beanie for all budgie lovers.
It has budgies all over and a several pairs of budgies in love at the top. Altogether you get 44 budgies on this beanie!

Size and slouchyness can be adapted by adding an additional repeat of the pattern.

Knitting gauge in stranded pattern: 1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows (2 x 2 cm: 6 stitches and 7

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This beanie fits size S and M. (about 53 " 55 cm head circumreference)
  • Notes for bigger sizes are included


  • about 25 g of 4-ply yellow sock yarn
  • about 25 g of off-white 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 18 g of green 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 18 g of blue 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 20 g of black 4-ply sock yarn
  • about 10 g of brown 4-ply sock yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Circular needle 40 cm 3.00 mm
  • For bigger heads use needle size 3.25 mm or 3.5 mm or 5-ply yarn
  • 5 double pointed needles size 3.00 mm for the top of the head
  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

230 yards of Fingering weight
