Pattern Description:

Brighid, or Brigit, was a fire goddess traditionally worshiped in Celtic Polytheism. This short scarf pays homage to Celtic heritage with a simple cable plait. It keeps the neck warm without extra frills and ends, but could be seamed to make a cowl or be made longer. The orange version in the photos was made with Manos del Uruguay Maxima in color fire.

Gauge:

18 stitches and 24 rows equals 4" in stockinette

Materials:

  • one pair of size US 10 needles
  • 218 yards worsted weight yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • cable needle
  • 2 stitch markers (optional)
