Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, knit two together, make one, yarn over, knit in the round

Pattern Description:

Simply by varying the wool and needle sizes, you can create this elegant neck-warmer in 3 different sizes. Whether a snug fit (A), a slightly looser fit which can also create a fold-down collar (B) or wider cowl that allows a fold-over front (C), this cowl is all that and more!

Cowl may be worn with Butterfly Tip edge or Twin Half-Leaf edge up for two very different looks. Turning the cowl inside out and folding the edge down provides an elegant collared effect. As a bonus, the non-public side of the cowl presents a lovely face as well.

Pattern stitches are charted; row by row written instructions are also provided.
