Pattern Description:
Matching cables and colorwork set this reversible belt apart, making this an accessory sure to catch everyone’s eye.
The colorwork design mirrors the cable side, making this beautiful belt a perfect addition to your wardrobe.
It is knit in the round, following color charts and has a three-page fully illustrated pattern.
You may need more than one skein of each color, depending on the size you need. A 2” wide buckle with a center bar is also called for.
Different widths can be achieved using different needle sizes, and differing weights of yarn.
Brego is a word of the ancient culture of Rohan famous for its cables and knots, as found in the Lord of the Rings.
Gauge:
36 sts x 32 rows = 4"x4" over colorwork
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 2" wide by length desired
Materials:
- 1 skein of Sirdar Country Style DK yarn in oatmeal
- 1 skein of Sirdar Country Style DK yarn in green
- US size 2 (2.75mm) circular or dpns, or size needed to get the correct gauge
You Will Also Need:
- Stitch markers
- Cable needle
- Tapestry needle
- 2” wide square or round buckle with a center post (no tongue needed)
